INMATE CHARGED, ACCUSED IN TBI MURDER-FOR-HIRE INVESTIGATION

 

NASHVILLE – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have arrested and charged an inmate in the custody of the Giles County Sheriff’s Department in connection to an ongoing murder-for-hire plot.

 

On Tuesday, at the request of 22nd District Attorney General Brent Cooper, TBI Agents began investigating David Ray Taylor (DOB 5-18-67). During the course of the investigation, with the assistance of the sheriff’s department, Agents developed information that Taylor had attempted to hire someone to kill a citizen of Giles County.

 

On Wednesday, authorities charged Taylor with one count of Solicitation to Commit First Degree Murder. At the time of this release, he remained in the custody of the Giles County Jail.
