Officers of the Humboldt Police Department have been investigating a
shooting that took place on Central Ave. on January 3, 2017. Two
victims received injuries in the shooting one was treated and released
from the hospital the other still remains hospitalized but is expected to
make a full recovery. In the course of the investigation it was
determined that the shooting stemmed from a prior altercation. Four
suspects were identified and all are in custody and have been charged
with 5 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder and 5 counts of
Aggravated Assault. Two of the subjects are 16 years old and the other
two are 17 years old. All four were from Jackson, Tennessee. The
Humboldt Police Department would like to thank the Jackson Police
