ERWIN WOMAN ARRESTED, CHARGED IN UNICOI COUNTY STABBING DEATH
JOHNSON CITY – A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of an Erwin woman on murder charges.
At the request of 1st District Attorney General Tony Clark, TBI Special Agents joined Unicoi County detectives in investigating the death of 55-year-old Ricky Lynn Price. At approximately 10:00 Monday morning, officers with the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office and the Erwin Police Department responded a report of a stabbing at a home in the 300 block of Tipton Street in Erwin. Upon arrival, Price was located at a neighbor’s home suffering from apparent stab wounds. Price was transported to the hospital, where he later died. During the course of the investigation, authorities developed information leading to Ricina B. Patrick (DOB 11/23/87), the victim’s girlfriend, as the individual responsible for the crime.
This evening, TBI Special Agents arrested and charged Ricina Patrick with First Degree Murder. She was booked into the Unicoi County Jail, where she is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
