MACON COUNTY WOMAN INDICTED, ACCUSED OF FILING A FALSE REPORT
KNOXVILLE – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the indictment of a Macon County woman accused of falsely reporting a sexual assault incident.
In January, at the request of 8th District Attorney General Jared Effler, TBI Special Agents began investigating allegations of sexual assault involving a Jamestown man. Sarah Elizabeth Suddarth (DOB 7/13/93) reported that the male subject sexually assaulted her while she was at his home in December 2016. The investigation revealed that the incident did not occur.
Last week, the Fentress County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Suddarth with one count of Filing a False Report. This morning, she turned herself in and was booked into the Fentress County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
