An unusual event happened last night.
One of our MCSO employees returned home last night to find this (ATTACHED)
voice mail on her answering machine
Sheriff Mehr believes this may alert your viewers, listeners and/or readers
and help them avoid being scammed.
This one involves a scam, seemingly from the IRS.
The second new scam came from our Records Manager who said she had a call
from a citizen saying the caller said the Social Security Department had
made an over payment with an extra check and were demanding they reimburse
for the overpayment with threats.
