ARREST MADE IN DEATH OF CHESTER COUNTY WOMAN
FINGER – A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, and the 26th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a Chester County man in connection with a recent homicide.
At the request of 26th District Attorney General Jody Pickens, on October 14th, TBI Agents joined investigators from Chester County in investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at a home in the 4600 block of Old Friendship Road in Finger. The deceased individual was identified as Samantha Melendez (DOB: 9/27/77).
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers identified Jerry Ray Mullins (DOB: 11/4/72) as the individual responsible for her death. He was arrested today on one count of Second Degree Murder and was booked into the Chester County Jail.
