Auto Burglary in North Madison County

In the early morning hours of October 20th, 2022, Madison County Sheriff's Deputies observed a vehicle traveling along Ashport Road in north Madison County with no visible rear lights. A traffic stop was initiated and through the diligent efforts of deputies, along with K-9 assistance,

it was determined that the six occupants of the vehicle were responsible for an auto burglary that had occurred earlier. Stolen property and a handgun were among the items recovered.

Among those arrested were two adults and four juveniles. The adults, 18 year old Jayden Seymour, and 19 year old Jaeshaun Liggins. Both individuals have been charged with theft of property and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In addition, Liggins has been charged with criminal impersonation. Seymour has been charged with additional traffic offenses. All four juveniles have been charged and have pending charges in Madison County Juvenile Court.

Sheriff Wiser is asking residents to always ensure your vehicle remains locked and remove weapons from unattended vehicles.
