NEW JOHNSONVILLE MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH BENTON COUNTY FIRE

CAMDEN – An investigation by special agent fire investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Humphreys County man on charges in connection with a fire earlier this week.

 

On December 4th, TBI agents joined the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in investigating a camper fire, which occurred the day before, in the 1400 block of Stones Road in Camden.  Agents determined the fire had been intentionally set.  During the investigation, information was developed identifying Jeffery L. Stone as the individual responsible for starting the fire.

 

Today, Stone was taken into custody.  In consultation with 24th Judicial District Attorney General Neil Thompson, Stone (DOB: 10/1/68) was booked into the Benton County Jail on charges of Arson and Vandalism between $1,000 - $60,000.  His bond is set at $5,000.
