MURDER SUSPECT AND CHILD RAPE FUGITIVE APPREHENDEND BY U.S.
MARSHALS IN MEMPHIS
Memphis, Tennessee – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the capture of two
separate fugitive cases out of Memphis. Maceo Boyd and Cassell Hunt were both arrested
today by the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Memphis.
Maceo Boyd was arrested this morning in connection with Paul Turner for First Degree
Murder. Turner was arrested yesterday by the TRVFTF in Memphis. Both were wanted
for the December 4, 2020, shooting death of Montavis Jones in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
On February 1, 2022, an arrest warrant out of Shelby County was issued for Cassell Hunt
for Rape of a Child. The warrant was adopted by the TRVFTF a day later, and he was
arrested this afternoon by TRVFTF deputies in Memphis.
U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller stated, “Everyday deputies with the U.S. Marshals Service,
working in conjunction with our state and local partners, are working tirelessly to ensure
the worst offenders are brought to justice.”
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force
within Western Tennessee. The Western Tennessee Division of the TRVFTF has offices in
Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S.
Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County
Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of
Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent
offenders and sexual predators.
