Select News Media in the Memphis, TN area are invited on Ride-A-Long with USMS

U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller for the Western District of Tennessee would like to announce the opportunity for Memphis area news media to participate in a ride-along with the United States Marshals Service (USMS). Selected media outlets are able to experience the mission and everyday operations of the USMS by riding along with one of our Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers. This opportunity would be contingent upon the media outlet agreeing to sign a USM-629M (Media Ride-Along Guidelines and Liability Agreement).

This opportunity is contingent upon the media outlet agreeing not to publicize specific USMS enforcement initiatives or operations until the completion thereof with a formal announcement. Media must comply with USMS requirement to embargo all interviews and b-roll filmed. If media publishes a news story, in the best interest of the public and in advance of the closeout, media must agree not to divulge the operation or details of the enforcement initiative at that time.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please respond to this email. U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller and the United States Marshals Service office in the Western District of Tennessee will try to accommodate interested media outlets. We will do our best to provide opportunities to interested outlets as scheduling permits. This effort from the United States Marshals Service and from U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller representing the Western District of Tennessee is to build better relationships in the communities we serve.
