The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of a scam that involves a phone number that is associated with the MCSO.
Upon answering the phone, people are being told that they failed to show up for Court and that they owe $3,600.00 for the violation.
The MSCO does NOT make such calls.
People are being told that a warrant was signed by Judge Blake Anderson and that they can go to the Courthouse or MCSO, 317 Denmark Jackson Rd,
to pay their Fine of $3600.00 or they will be arrested . They also provide a website for an easier payment, which is also something that the MCSO does not do.
THIS IS A SCAM!!!!
