MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE INVESTIGATES SERIES OF THEFTS IN MADISON COUNTY

Madison County, TN, August 17, 2023 – In the late hours of August 16th and the early morning hours of August 17th, the Madison County Sheriff's Office responded to calls reporting thefts in the vicinity of Cotton Grove Road and Country Run. Stolen items included one (1) vehicle, one

(1) all-terrain vehicle, and four (4) firearms. The firearms were unfortunately taken from unsecured vehicles. The Sheriff's Office has initiated a comprehensive investigation into these incidents.

Madison County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators are actively canvassing the area and are in the process of interviewing residents who may possess information regarding these incidents.

Deputies are also in the process of obtaining any video footage that residents may have and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office will be assigning additional resources in the areas.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.

Sheriff Julian Wiser urges the community to maintain a high level of vigilance during this period.

He emphasizes the importance of securing vehicle doors, confirming that they are locked, and removing keys and valuables from all vehicles. These precautionary measures are vital in deterring potential thieves and safeguarding personal belongings.
