SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) - Hernandez Govan, the alleged mastermind behind Memphis rapper Young Dolph’s murder in 2021, was arrested over the weekend in Southaven, Mississippi.

Records from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office show that the 44-year-old was booked Sunday on charges of driving with a suspended license and having an improperly mounted license tag.

Govan also showed to have an outstanding warrant out of DeSoto County for “stalking/repeatedly following/harassing or making threats.” Action News 5 has asked District Attorney Matthew Barton for more information about this charge. We are still waiting to hear back.

Govan was released Monday morning on a cumulative $2,250 bond.
