Dr. Deborah J. Rogers to speak at Lane College Opening Convocation

Jackson, Tenn (Sept. 1, 2017) - Lane College will welcome the new academic year with its Opening Convocation on Wednesday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the J.F. Lane Building (the gymnasium). Dr. Deborah Rogers will speak at the ceremony, which marks the official opening of the Fall 2017 academic session.  

Dr. Deborah J. Rogers is an academic administrator and trained theologian with a passion for undergraduate education. Dr. Rogers earned a Ph.D. in Theology and Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary. She also received her M.A.T. from Fuller Seminary and a B.S. in Mathematics from Howard University. Dr. Rogers currently serves as Lane’s Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Rogers is proud to call Jackson, Tennessee, home and is an active member of City Fellowship Baptist Church.
