UT MARTIN EARNS MILITARY FRIENDLY DESIGNATION
MARTIN, Tenn. – VIQTORY awarded the University of Tennessee at Martin a 2021-
2022 Military-Friendly designation for the support provided to campus veterans. VIQTORY is a
service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that promotes organizations that provide
opportunities for military communities.
Designations are mainly based on the support provided to veteran students and retention
rates after one and two years, as well as graduation rates and career outcomes. Attention is also
paid to educational loan repayment levels, academic and admissions policies, and the level of
commitment institutions have toward supporting military students.
UT Martin scored highest in the culture and commitment and graduation and career
categories and is one of 18 institutions across Tennessee to receive a designation from
VIQTORY. In addition to the VIQTORY designation, UT Martin was recently named among the
2021 “Best for Vets” by Military Times. The university is also designated by the Tennessee
Higher Education Commission as a Tennessee Veterans Education Transition Support (VETS)
Campus.
