MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin graduate Crystal Hayslett, who plays
paralegal Fatima on Tyler Perry’s “Sistas” BET series, will visit Martin and the university this Friday,
Sept. 10. Hayslett received her communications degree in 2006 and will be officially recognized Oct. 9 at
homecoming as the university’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award recipient.
Hayslett is unable to attend homecoming but is visiting the university Friday to celebrate the
homecoming award, tour the campus, meet with UT Martin Chancellor Keith Carver, talk with students,
and visit a class. She will be available to visit with media between 3-3:30 p.m. in the third-floor
conference room of the Hall-Moody Administration Building. Other interview times can possibly be
arranged.
