“BLACK SOAP REMIX II” BRINGS THE DRAMA
THIS SUNDAY, 5PM AT THE CANNON CENTER
(MEMPHIS, Tenn.) -- Playwright/actress Flo Roach and gospel songstress and preacher Beverly Crawford are a winning combination, and they are two people who definitely know how to “bring the drama.” Yes, there will be drama in BLACK SOAP REMIX II, a reprise of the award-winning Black Soap episodes IV, V, and VI about the Marvin Chambers family drama which will be on stage this Sunday, October 9, 2016. The show starts at 5 p.m. at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, 255 North Main in downtown Memphis.
Guest-starring, acting and singing in BLACK SOAP REMIX II, Beverly Crawford -- the 2015 Stellar Awards’ Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year -- is best known for her #1 hit gospel album, “Thank You for All You’ve Done.” In addition, she is a former lead singer with the long-running Bobby Jones Gospel television show (BET) and the winner of multiple Stellar Awards as part of up and coming gospel singers who performed with Dr. Bobby Jones. Incidentally, Dr. Jones is a native of Henry County, Tennessee and a graduate of Tennessee State University. His gospel music show ran from 1980 to August 2015.
