The third annual NBT list again highlights 11 artists ranging from established hitmakers prepping their next moves to newcomers ready to claim their turns in the spotlight. Those 2017 selections include Tucker Beathard (Dot Records), Kane Brown (RCA Nashville/Zone 4), Chris Lane (Big Loud Records), LOCASH (Reviver Records), William Michael Morgan (Warner Bros.), Maren Morris (Columbia Nashville), Jon Pardi (Capitol Records Nashville), Runaway June (Wheelhouse Records), Aubrie Sellers (Warner Music Nashville), Drake White (Dot Records) and Brett Young (BMLG Records).
"A consumer's first thoughts about touring may be of a headlining act playing a sold-out show at Bridgestone Arena, but members of the industry know it takes numerous talented and experienced team members working behind the scenes to make that show a success," says MusicRow Publisher/Owner Sherod Robertson. "This issue features some of the key leaders and companies who conjure concert success. Also included is our 2017 Next Big Thing list of artists who are poised to make large strides in 2017. These artists have all proven they have talent and dedication and we see their star shining even brighter in the coming year."
For the inaugural Touring Issue print magazine, exclusive editorial examines Lou Taylor's business management role for concert budgeting and Scott Scovill's success as one of Nashville's concert creation and production leaders. An agent roundtable brings together Darin Murphy (CAA), Jay Williams (WME), Nick Meinema (UTA) and Steve Lassiter (APA).
Additionally, event security is examined in the magazine with insurance companies Anderson Benson and Frost Specialty. VIP experiences are discussed with CID Presents, while merchandising is highlighted with Richards & Southern, and Chris Lisle gives insights from his concert lighting business.
Black River Entertainment recording artist and ASCAP-represented songwriter Kelsea Ballerini is featured as this issue's cover artist. She is the only female artist in country music history to chart three consecutive No. 1 singles from her debut album,The First Time. She is currently on her first solo headlining tour, by the same title as her album.
