Country Music Artist Added to CBR Line Up The 2017 Bud Light Classic presented by Alan Vines Automotive
JACKSON, Tenn., - January 10, 2017 2016 – Jackson Bull riding fans will have the rare opportunity to see
extraordinary cowboy athletes at the Oman Arena this week including one that will pick up his guitar and signal the band
to play. Jason Pritchett, a former bull rider turned successful country music artist, will be in concert on the floor of the
Oman Arena immediately following the bull riding action as he continues his mission to put “western” back in country
music.
A real cowboy from Independence, MO, Jason rode PRCA ranked bulls for several years until he found his true
passion in music. Jason’s first single, Good Show, was released in 2015. The song raced to the #16 spot on country music
charts and made Jason the highest debuting artist the week of the song’s release. Jason’s first tour, Buck, Twist, and
Jerk, included opening for artists such as Tyler Farr, Lee Brice, and Thomas Rhett. He is also a featured performer in the
"Billy Dean Live" show and is fully endorsed by Grammy Award Winning Artist Billy Dean.
Tickets are going quick for the 27th Annual Bud Light Classic Championship Bull Riding with Jason Pritchett in
concert on Saturday night, January 14. Pritchett will also make an appearance at Alan Vines Automotive on Saturday
between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.
Pritchett’s first single “Good Show” features bull riding and bull fighter action video from the CBR’s Road to
Cheyenne Tour and has garnered over one million YouTube views. Following Good Show he released a second top 20
country music hit “Already A Deadman” followed by a third song, “Hung Over You” which was released in October.
Pritchett was also a Top 5 Finalist on America’s Got Talent.
This year’s event is the seventh stop on Championship Bull Riding’s (CBR) Road to Cheyenne Tour which pits the
industry’s elite riders against the best bulls in three round tournament style action. Pre event activities begin when the
doors open at 6:00 and action gets underway at 8:00 p.m.
The field of competition starts with 24 riders, then 12 and finally 4 in the Shoot Out where they will battle for
the lion’s share of $30,000 in prize money. The night’s excitement will culminate as the final four bull riders will get a
third opportunity to ride in a winner take all ending. The format appeals to new spectators and established fans alike
because riders can challenge as many as three bulls in one performance.
But if you cheer for the bulls and not the riders and like the see the power of the “other side of the ride,” from
the front row the Bud Light Classic CBR also features the CBR’s Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge. Bull owners from all
around the country will bring three bulls that are featured during the first two rounds of competition. The super star
bulls including World Champion bulls and NFR bulls will compete for points based on their performance in the arena and
the owner with the three highest-scoring bulls will receive $20,000.
CBR has become known for their action-packed performances that keep fans on the edge of their seats and
every time Tuff Hedeman and the boys return to Jackson it is always a great show! From having world class bulls
matched up with super star riders, to upbeat music and an entertaining professional barrel man, the fans will experience
a first class athletic competition with a few show surprises here and there.
