Singer, songwriter, and author Andrew Peterson will speak at Augustine School on March 1 & 2 on “The Power of Christian Imagination”
JACKSON, Tenn. – Dec. 15, 2017 – Christian musician Andrew Peterson will speak at Augustine School on March 1, 2018 as part of the school’s annual Spring Symposium lecture series. The topic of Peterson’s address will be, “The Power of Christian Imagination: Inspiring Hope through Story, Art, and Song.” Following the Thursday evening event, Peterson will visit the Augustine School campus on March 2 to visit with students and have a time of Q & A with area pastors.
Peterson is a renowned singer and songwriter, best known for his Behold the Lamb album and Christmas tour as well as his most recent album, Light for the Lost Boy. He is also an award winning author, having written a 4-part youth fiction series known as the Wingfeather Saga, which chronicles the Igiby family as they discover secrets of their family history. An animated film of the Saga will also be unveiled on December 26. In addition to his writing, Peterson is also the President of The Rabbit Room, a project that fosters Christ-centered community and spiritual formation through music, story, and art.

For years his music and writings have touched so many people, and we are excited to hear him speak about the power of story to inspire and change hearts,” Augustine School Chairman John Windham said. “We know this will be an encouraging and engaging evening for our community.”
For the past 15 years, Augustine School has hosted some of the country’s top Christian leaders and scholars to address important educational, scientific, and cultural topics. Previous speakers have included Greg Thornbury, Lou Markos, Steven Meyer, Bruce Lockerbie, and others.
