UNION CITY, TN- The first traveling exhibit featuring live animals is open now through April 8 th at Discovery Park of America in Union City, TN! The exhibition is called, “Nature’s Ninjas,” and features animals that thrive in their natural habitat because of their incredible defense skills. From salamanders to barn owls, and black widows to scorpions, this unique exhibit showcases some of nature’s wildest defensive adaptations.
The live animal exhibit is on display each Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the ATA Traveling Exhibit Hall at Discovery Park of America. Also known as Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo, this exhibit features live animals and daily shows. A full-time staff member will be available to engage with the public throughout the exhibition. Tickets to visit the Nature’s Ninjas exhibit are $5.00 plus park admission.
CEO Jim Rippy said that the staff at Discovery Park is excited about this new exhibit. “Our guests love live animals,” Rippy said. “That’s one of the reasons we chose this exhibit,” he added. Rippy also said that now through January 31 st , all visitors to Discovery Park who are not members will receive one-half price general admission, making this a great time to see the new exhibit at a very affordable price.
“We are hoping that students will come out on school field trips to learn about how these incredible animals adapt to their environment and their unique survival skills,” Rippy said.
Nature’s Ninjas tickets are available online or by calling 731-885- 5455 or at the ticket counter. “The one-half price general admission is only available at the ticket counter, however. “So everyone just needs to come out to the park to enjoy half price admission and the new live animal exhibit,” Rippy stated.
