All forms of art have purpose. In the visual fine arts we use images to suggest a reality beyond the physical plane
where people and objects become symbols of a greater physical truth. It’s not always pretty but it may amuse you.
As Executive Director of the Jackson Arts Council, Melinda Hearn Reid promotes the arts on a daily basis.
In her free time, for 7 years now, she has been leading
mobile paint parties that inspire creativity and encourage fellowship for all ages.
This exhibit features Melinda’s work as well as several artists from her paint parties.
