Elton John's music featured in upcoming #DPA concert

UNION CITY, TN- If you are a fan of Elton John’s music, make plans now to attend Discovery Park of America’s first summer concert, Saturday, May 5 th , featuring Elton Dan playing Elton John’s greatest hits! Incredible energy, authentic costumes, a high level performance, featuring a full nine-piece band and professional musicians, promise a magical night of music on the Great Lawn. Elton Dan and the Rocket Band are the World’s premier tribute to the music of Sir Elton John. Elton Dan brings a spectacular red baby grand piano, over the top stage props, authentic costumes and enough energy to power a Rocket (Man)!
According to event planners, “Elton Dan and the Rocket Band are not just a cover band; they actually recreate the full flavor of a genuine Elton John performance.” Hear your favorite Elton John hits including Your Song, Bennie and the Jets, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer and Levon to name a few.
The gates will open at 5:30 with food trucks, yard games, door prizes and beer & wine gardens. Tickets are just $10, and children 12 and under get in free! The Children’s Discovery Garden play area will be open throughout the evening, so guests are encouraged to bring the family! And, you might be a winner, because door prizes will be given away throughout the evening. And, in recognition of Cinco de Mayo, tacos and margaritas will top the list of food and beverage items available. Guests are invited to bring bag chairs and blankets, but outside food and beverage are prohibited.
To get it all started, Gypsies, Doves and Dreams will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. performing a heartfelt tribute to the lyrical genius of Stevie Nicks. From her hits with Fleetwood Mac to her soaring solo career, Kim Osborne strives to portray the undisputed Queen of Rock. This set includes some of Stevie Nicks’ greatest hits including Sara, Rhiannon, Edge of Seventeen and many more. You’ll enjoy the life like replications of Stevie’s wardrobe accompanied by a great
band and a lot of energy.
“It’s going to be a really fun evening, and we hope the entire community will come out and enjoy the music of Elton John and Stevie Nicks on May 5 th ,” Event Director Lauren Jones said. “It’s going to be a really fun evening,” she added.
