HENDERSON, Tennessee — (August 10, 2021) — Freed-Hardeman University Theatre presents "Failure: A Love Story" as its first production of the season beginning Thursday, August 12 through Saturday, August 14, 2021.
Written by Philip Dawkins, "Failure: A Love Story," is a whimsical story that follows the three Fall sisters as they live out their lives above the family clock repair shop near the Chicago River, before their time unexpectedly runs out. A fable of love and loss, but in the end, the power of love is far greater than any individual's successes or failures.
“This imaginative, beautiful production of such a charming play is a fitting way to start off our 2021-2022 theatre season. There's so much color and life in this work. And the story is really engaging," Cliff Thompson, FHU director of theatre, said.
The cast and director are all FHU alumni. Rachel Irwin is the director, Annie Pickens is the stage manager and the cast members are Akacyea Deck, Jordan Deck, Stephanie Pearson, Marla Record, Kevin Record, Tucker Price, David Fonville and Rebecca Simpson.
