The CrimeSEEN Examiner Newspaper’s Celebration of Black Radio Awards Dinner was nothing short of amazing!
Congratulations to CSE News Publisher Bill Marable for his vision! So many Pioneers in Radio were Blessed, such As The Dynamic State Representative Johnny Shaw (owner of WOJG-FM 94.7 Radio Station) ...Who Delivered a Powerful & Awe- Inspiring KeyNote Address... The Shaw Family (Tracy Shaw ) were in Full Effect To Support This Great Trailblazer in Broadcasting.

Thankful For The Opportunity To Introduce & Present the Honoree and Congrats To All Award Recipients:
Ivory T. Ellison who was presented the J. W. Shaw Gospel Legend Award
Nell Hunstspon and the Women in Radio Award which was presented to radio personality Dr. Jazzi Anderson.
Sherry Powell talked about the accomplishments of Kix96 FM founder and former owner, James E. ‘Super’ Wolfe, Jr. and presented The James E. Wolfe, Jr. Community Service Award plaque honoring him to several original members of his staff. The Golden Microphone in his honor was presented to Tony Black former commentator for “The Other Side” which aired on NewsTalk 101.5 FM.
A tearful Robert “Cowboy” Mitchell presented and accepted the Dave Shaw Golden Microphone Award. Mitchell and the late Shaw were among the first radio De-jays to hit the airwaves for KIX-96.
A special thanks goes out to local comedian the Hilarious Chris Cherry who’s standup routine loosened up the audience of nearly 100 prio to the meal; which was prepared by Martin Catering.
Also thanks to Terry Spearman and Above and Beyond Flowers for the decorations and Kasper Northern for snapping the photos.
