A New Judge is ON THE BENCH!

ON THE DOCKET WITH JUDGE TRACY ( #OTDWJT ) represents a new generation of Reality Courtroom Television. Meet Executive Producer, Dr. Tracy Boyd, a legal-academic working to resolve complex legal issues through arbitration and mediation- mechanisms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Tracy Boyd is the judge on the new courtroom show, ON THE DOCKET WITH JUDGE TRACY. The Legal Authority for OTDWJT is and shall be The Federal Arbitration Act.

Airing this Summer on ROKU TV, get ready for some crazy, wild, yet serious cases. In each episode, Judge Tracy lays down the law from an educational point-of-view; presiding over real, hard-hitting cases, and his decisions are legal and binding. The hallmark of On The Docket With Judge Tracy is Judge Tracy himself, as he combines a refreshing mix of social commentary, sassiness, humor, and humanity. His use of this platform on the bench helps provide quick resolutions and educational counseling to litigants before him that traditional courts simply can’t provide. The cases that we choose for ON THE DOCKET WITH JUDGE TRACY forces Judge Tracy to address national issues through discussions and dialogue with litigants about real issues facing real-life society, such as Child Support, DNA & Paternity issues, Relationships, and Landlord-Tenant Disputes. His long-term personal commitment to his community and others exemplifies his dedication to educating those who step into his courtroom and those who tune in to the show. Presiding as a Judge but never Judgmental, Judge Tracy is a “tell it like it is" kind of Judge who seeks to find a positive solution for some of the direst situations.

Unlike most other courtroom television shows, arbitrators, such as Judge Judy, Judge Greg Mathis, and Judge Lynn Toler, Judge Tracy does not practice law and is not a licensed-practicing attorney, however, he is a legal academic with a jurisprudence background. To additionally compensate for this, however, ON THE DOCKET WITH JUDGE TRACY has billed itself as “Boyd playing by his own rules” and “It’s the principle of the situation”, basing his court proceedings off of academic resources, his own life experience, and some good old common sense”. Additionally, Judge Tracy earned his Mediation Certification from CPD. CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. CPD is a holistic approach towards the enhancement of personal skills and proficiency throughout a professional’s career.

To add to his experience, during his undergraduate years, Judge Tracy clerked for the Honorable Judge, Monte Watkins, who was the only African-American male Judge presiding in the Davidson County Criminal Court. Additionally, Boyd served as a Senior Paralegal specializing in Criminal Cases for the Law Office of Courtney Teasley, Nashville, Tennessee, and Family Law Cases for the Law Office of Khadijah Babb, who now serves as Davidson County Criminal Court Judge, Division 5, Nashville, Tennessee. In 2018, Judge Tracy partnered with the 80th United States Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales to create a pipeline organization for youth in the Nashville community. As a result of an amazing legal-related program for students, Judge Tracy became the Founder and Dean of School of The Law & Leadership School ( www.thelawandleadershipschool.org )- a Homeschool Tutorial School.

In addition to core academic subjects, The Law & Leadership School provides a legal-related curriculum taking students into this in-depth study of their legal rights and responsibilities. In his educator role, he’s forced to become this controversial trailblazing orator, advocate, and educator for his students in the growing movement to transform education, end mass incarceration, and redress racial inequity in the criminal justice system.  Through his very own run-in with the criminal justice system, Judge Tracy has become a creative problem-solver and visionary who see's the invisible, touches the intangible, hears the inaudible, and is working to do the impossible.

Judge Tracy is a curious entre/edupreneur, who analytically interprets content to facilitate and lead others bravely into fresh experiences. He believes in purpose, lives life on purpose, and loves others into their purpose.

Joining Judge Tracy is Courtroom Host, Aaliyah Cross. In the courtroom, Judge Tracy is joined by Court Baliff Kayla Lanier, a former Correctional Officer for the Tennessee Department of Corrections. As a court officer, Lanier helps Judge Tracy in maintaining courtroom order, as well as acting as an intermediary between the Judge and the litigants. Courtroom Host, Madam Cross returns to interview the litigants after a decision has been rendered in their case.
