National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Fayette County General Sessions Court Judge Jim Gallagher hosted the Fayette Cares kick off of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.   A proclamation (attached) was read by Fayette County Mayor Rhea “Skip” Taylor, calling attention to the prevalence of the issue and the need for a community response that supports victims. 

 

Attending the event were community supporters Fayette County Mayor Skip Taylor, Judge Jim Gallagher, Domestic Violence Prosecutor Lindsey Williams, Fayette County Sheriff Bobby Riles, State Representative Jamie Jenkins, Oakland Mayor Chris Goodman, and many others.
