TENNESSEE DEMOCRATIC PARTY LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE IN STATE SENATE RACE
The Tennessee Democratic Party has launched a new website, www.firetoddgardenhire.com, to showcase the failures of one of Tennessee's worst state lawmakers. "Todd Gardenhire represents the very worst of the Republican Party in Tennessee. He is a wealthy investment banker who, while on the state health insurance plan, voted against access to affordable health care for 300,000 hard working Tennesseans, voted against public money for public education, and voted against equality," TNDP Chair Mary Mancini said.
This website serves as a clearinghouse for voters who have decided on the presidential race and want to learn more about down-ballot candidates. There they will learn that Todd Gardenhire claimed abortions are easier than vasectomies, that he voted to strip $175 million from public schools, and that he called a constituent an a**hole.
"Todd Gardenhire was Donald Trump before Donald Trump was Donald Trump, building a reputation in the state Senate for making outrageous comments and acting like a schoolyard bully," Mancini said. "We're confident that when voters take a closer look at Todd Gardenhire’s record, they’ll get a clear picture of who he really is and they’ll vote to elect Khristy Wilkinson."
