The City of Jackson has scheduled the observance of National Night Out. This event will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, from 5-8pm instead of on the first Tuesday in August, when it is nationally observed. The reason for the change is to allow citizens of Jackson to hold their neighborhood block parties in cooler weather. The deadline to register a Block Party will be Friday, September, 30, 2016. Please participate and urge your neighborhood watch members to take a stand against crime in District Four.
Please sign up and register your block party by contacting Jackson Police Lieutenant Byron Taylor at 425-8443 or Ms. Kim Walker at 425-8441.
Please continue to call 425-2489 for any and all City Services. Call the Jackson Police Department at 425-8400 or 911 for any crime related issues. For claw piles, old furniture piles and brush piles found on the curdside, please call our Health and Sanitation Department at 425-8545.
Let us continue to stay involved with our community to keep our neighborhood safe and vital.
Harvey Buchanan, City Councilman
District Four - Jackson, Tennessee
