At the June 7, 2016, City Council Meeting, the City Council
unanimously approved the establishment of a Budget Committee comprised
of three City Council members and two people from the general public,
to be appointed by the Mayor, to study the City’s budget for fiscal
year 2017-2018. Mayor Gist announced that the following persons have
been selected to Councilman Randy Wallace (chair); Councilman Ernest

budget cuts may be necessary, it is imperative that we explore
additional ways to increase revenues”.
