Nominations for Outstanding Business Awards are now open through January 24

 

 

The Jackson Madison County African American Chamber of Commerce (JMCAACC) is pleased to announce that The Bar-Kays recording group will be the featured entertainment at the 16th Annual JEWEL Awards Banquet and Concert. Emceed by The  Hilarious Chris Cherry, the 2017 JEWEL Awards will be held Friday, February 24, 6:30 p.m. at Oman Arena, 179 Lane Avenue in Jackson.  The Black History Month event honors outstanding contemporary and historical business owners and community leaders and raises funds for the Chamber’s Follow Me Into Business® youth development and summer jobs program.  For ticket information, call 731-424-2030 or visit www.jmcaacc.org/awards.

 

Nominations are open for the contemporary business awards in four categories: Ruby Award for a business of one to five years, Diamond Award for a business of six to 10 years, Emerald Award for a business of 11 to 20 years and the Jewel Award for a business of 20+ years.  Once nominated, nominees are required to submit a business portfolio. Nomination forms are available from the Chamber office at 351-C North Royal, by calling 731-424-2030 and online at www.jmcaacc.org.  Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
