WEST TENNESSEE MEDICAL GROUP WELCOMES PETER SHI, D.O.
Jackson, Tennessee (November 14, 2017) — Dr. Peter Shi recently joined West Tennessee Medical
Group as a hospitalist practicing at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He is one of 23
hospitalists providing high quality, compassionate healthcare to our patients.
Dr. Shi is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology and went to medical school at the New
York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Shi was most recently with the Downstate University Hospital
in Brooklyn, New York while completing his residency.
“Dr. Shi is a great addition to our skilled team of hospitalists, and we are fortunate that he has joined
us,” said Darrell King, Vice President, West Tennessee Medical Group.
As a hospitalist, Dr. Shi serves as a physician who cares for patients who are in the hospital. He
specializes in internal medicine and has additional training in critical care medicine. He provides high
quality, efficient hospital care.
Dr. Shi stated, “It is pleasure working with the men and women of JMCGH. I look forward to
contributing to the hospital and the community in any way possible.”
