The Ned R. McWherter West TN Cultural Arts Center presents two new art exhibits.
^upstARTSdowntown>Art Exhibit is an exhibition of art from our local college students. It can

be seen in the Main Gallery at the Ned.

Samantha Wood’s exhibit – The Memphis Paintings – will be on display in the Upstairs Gallery.

Both exhibits are free and open to the public and will run from

January 1 – February 27, 2018. Doors are open daily from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. There will be a

reception for these artists Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 5-7 pm.

This show is an annual show of art work from emerging artists from Jackson State Community College,

Union University, Freed Hardeman University, and Lane College.

Samantha Wood is an art teacher in the Jackson Madison County School System. Over the past couple of
years, she has also begun working on her own art. This will be her debut exhibit, titled, “The Memphis

Paintings,” which will feature various downtown views of Memphis.
