Army Master Sgt. Torrez L. Brooks has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal.

The medal is awarded to personnel who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service or achievements while serving in a combat or non-combat area with the Army.

Brooks is the son of Darryl T. and Gwendolyn D. Bridges of Denmark, Tenn.

He is a 1996 graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School, Jackson, Tenn.

 

U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jamie L. Schumann-Graham graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Schumann-Graham is the daughter of Michael A. Schumann of Memphis, Tenn., and Konya A. Shreve of Pickwick, Tenn., step-daughter of Robert M. Shreve of Counce, Tenn., sister of Lynn M. Schumann of Olive Branch, Mich., and Cindy L. Schumann of Memphis, Tenn., and wife of Andre L. Graham of Cordova, Tenn.

She is a 2010 graduate of Gateway Christian School, Memphis, Tenn.

Walter is the son of Beverly Armour of Memphis, Tenn., and Rossi Walter Sr of Dallas, Texas, step-son of Jennifer Kindert, grandson of Wilma Wilson, and nephew of Carl Wilson, all of Dallas, Texas, and brother of Michael Armour of Denver, Colo. He is also the brother of Rossi Walter Jr.

The airman graduated in 2012 from Jesuit College Preparatory School, Dallas, Texas.

Davis is the son of Vanessa A. Davis of Arlington, Tenn., and Frank C. Davis of Jackson, Tenn.

He is a 2013 graduate of Arlington High School, Arlington, Tenn.

White is the son of Lisandra R. Howard and Sandra D. Willis of Memphis, Tenn. He is also the brother of Lashun L. Jones and Antwan L. Willis.

The airman graduated in 2016 from Memphis Academy Of Health Sciences, Memphis, Tenn.
