Dr. George Flinn Announces Candidacy for U.S. Congress, District 8
Memphis, Tenn. --- Dr. George Flinn announced today, January 19, his campaign for U.S.
Congress, District 8 in West Tennessee. Dr. Flinn will be a candidate in the Republican Primary
election August 2, 2018.
In the 2016 Republican Primary for U.S. Congress, District 8, Dr. Flinn won six counties and
placed second in seven counties.
“Establishment Republicans are tearing this country apart and have been selling us empty
promises for years to get elected and re-elected,” Dr. Flinn said. “The establishment has kept us
out- they do not want us to win. That’s why I am continuing our fight against the establishment.”
“Traditional campaigns and traditional politicians expect people to come to them and to work
around the politician’s schedule. I am not a politician and this is not a traditional campaign,
which is why I’m dedicating time to go to the voters to have conversations about their needs,”
Dr. Flinn said.
Dr. Flinn said he will be working diligently to earn the support and vote of the people of the 8th
Congressional District.
“In the coming weeks and months, I’ll present voters with a clear choice between candidates:
someone who will protect our values and beliefs or someone who represents special interests
and not us,” Dr. Flinn said.
