Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast
In observance of the National Day of Prayer, the Jackson Area Ministerial Association
is hosting the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at 7 a.m. at the
Carl Perkins Civic Center
In 2018, the theme is “Pray for America – UNITY”, based upon Ephesians 4:3 which
challenges us to mobilize unified public prayer for America, "Making every effort to
keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."
The public is invited to attend this event, which is offered to all our citizens to
celebrate our faith through prayer.
Mayor Gist stated, "I encourage everyone to come together, to enter into communion
with God, and to participate in a unique and inspiring worship experience. All
Jackson-Madison County church congregations are encouraged to attend."
Tickets are $7 each. Advance tickets can be purchased by contacting the mayor's
office at 425-8240 or the civic center box office at 425-8587. Tickets will also be
available for purchase the morning of the event.
