Change needs to happen on both sides. Parents need to be responsible parents. The children need to act like children. They need to go to school to learn. Those that have behavior and/or mental issues need to get the right help. The resource officers need better training. Though she was disruptive. It could have been handled differently and there were other adults in plain sight.. She needed to be handled that is not disputable. But we have to not over react. These are children not adults. There is a lot that needs fixing in our educational system. What we are hearing and seeing is a result of a failing educational system. It's not the teachers or students fault. They are dealing with the fallout of poor decision making by those in charge.

Parents do have the right to discipline their children but not above the waist nor in public setting. Maybe he shouldn't have slammed her but whose going to continue to wrestle with anyone that you can't get under control

Calling for transparency won't in any way affect anything but the mis handling of students.. As it should.. Because there are several sides to this matter doesn't mean let's not address the issue at hand. I'm pro student parent teacher and self protection. However we have an issue that needs addressing I say let's allow that process.. Even the ones ok with the way this situation was handled has stated it could have been handled differently. Ok Why say that if it was all good.. simple because It wasn't.. Let's allow a process to be implemented that will allow All fair treatment Including disruptive students.. Lisa Peeples I agree with you Morris Merriweather and the NAACP... We have to do something let's start here with transparency.. Patricia Hunt well stated
