ACM Regional Meetings Continue Across the State

The Association of County Mayors has been traveling the state holding regional meetings this month. This new initiative, started by ACM director Anthony Holt, aims to gather mayors in four regions of the state to talk about the top priorities for their region and the most pressing challenges they are facing. We've seen great participation and lively discussion in the first three meetings with topics ranging from managing growth and development, affordable housing, emergency medical services, addressing opioid addiction and more.

The first three were held in Sevier County for counties in the East Tennessee and First Tennessee development districts, Williamson County for the Greater Nashville Regional Council and South Central Development District counties, and Cumberland County for the Upper Cumberland Development District and South East Tennessee Development District Counties. The regional meetings will conclude next Tuesday in Madison County with a meeting of county mayors from the Southwest and Northwest TN Development Districts and the Memphis Area Association of Governments.
