NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 20, 2022) - Tennessee whiskey has a rich heritage, dating back to the 1800s. Last May, the Tennessee General Assembly declared May 21 as International Tennessee Whiskey Day, marking the state’s repeal of the ban on manufacturing alcoholic beverages in 1937. To get in the spirit and celebrate the day, cheers to these ten unique made in Tennessee ways to sip, taste and explore whiskey across the state.

Beginning May 21, head to Goo Goo Cluster’s retail location in downtown Nashville to try out Goo Goo’s latest delicious creation, Tennessee Whiskey Trail Bonbons. Guests can sample a wide selection of chocolate candy creations, all made with the flavors of distilleries found on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail such as Nelson’s Green Brier’s Louisa with caramel chocolate ganache, Old Dominick’s cinnamon and white chocolate ganache or Sugarland’s Dark Chocolate Coffee Liquor’s and vanilla ganache. For now, the signature collection will be sold at Goo Goo Cluster, LLC’s Nashville storefront with plans to extend the collection to the featured distilleries.
For the first time in Nashville, over 30 distilleries from the Tennessee Whiskey Trail will join the Tennessee Whiskey Trail Experience at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, May 21. The inaugural event coincides with International Whiskey Day and will offer whiskey and food tastings, educational workshops and more. The unusual museum has around 2,000 Jim Beam Whiskey decanters on display.
