GINGER ROWSEY JOINS JACKSON-MADISON COUNTY REGIONAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT AS PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER
JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has welcomed veteran journalist and public relations professional Ginger Rowsey as Public Information Officer, Director Kim Tedford announced Wednesday.
In this role, Rowsey will work with local media and the community to share information about the health department and its programs, and to keep residents informed on matters of public health.
“I’m excited to be joining the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department and to be working with an elite team of professionals who are creating a healthier community through their programs and services,” Rowsey said.
Rowsey has a long industry in the communications industry. She began her career as an anchor and reporter with WBBJ in 2005. She spent 12 years as spokesperson and communication specialist with the University of Tennessee AgResearch, which includes Research and Education Centers in Jackson and Milan.
Most recently, Rowsey served as Senior Staff Writer for Delta Farm Press — a publication targeting the Mid-South’s agricultural industry.
Rowsey replaces Mallory Cooke, who left the Department in November to join the external communications team at Blue Oval SK.
