GAME NOTES: September 9, 2016 at Montgomery

Jackson, Tenn - The Jackson Generals (Seattle Mariners) visit the Montgomery Biscuits (Tampa Bay Rays) in the third game of the best-of-five North Division Championship Series in the first round of the 2016 Southern League Playoffs! First pitch of game three is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.

The Generals lead the series 2-0 after a close 2-1 victory on Thursday. Jackson needs to win one of the final three games (the last two being if necessary) to advance to the Championship. Mississippi shutout Pensacola 5-0 to tie the South Division Championship at 1-1. 

With a 2-0 lead, the Generals are in a good position. Since 2010, teams that went up 2-0 in the Division Championship or League Championship Series are 7-0 in those series overall.
