North Side High School Names Head Girls Basketball Coach
(May 15, 2017, Jackson, TN) – North Side High School Principal, Jason Bridgeman,
has announced that Jerry Robertson will be the North Side High School Girls
Basketball Head Coach. Coach Robertson will take over the girls’ basketball
program starting immediately. He is replacing long time coach and administrator
Len Jeffries. Coach Jeffries announced his retirement earlier this spring.
Coach Robertson has over 12 years of experience coaching at the middle and high
school level. Recently, Coach Robertson served as the boys’ head coach for
Jackson Careers and Technology Middle School and Jackson Central Merry High
School.
Coach Robertson was an ALL State, All Region, basketball player for Bells High
School from 1974-1976. He moved on and played for Jackson State Community
College followed by the University of Tennessee at Martin. Coach Robertson,
also, had a brief professional career that was cut short due to an injury.
“I am excited to have Coach Jerry Robertson leading our North Side Girls’
Basketball Program. I was impressed by the effort he could get out of the young
men he coached at JCM. We always knew his players would give 100% because
he is a natural motivator. Coach Robertson has expressed his excitement about
building upon the ground work established by Coach Jeffries,” stated Jason
Bridgeman.
