The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives…one heart at a time.

Jackson, TN: Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high

school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sports to reach every coach and every

athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the

globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world

through the gospel. We do this by having the support of donors and fundraisers.

While the last two years have truly been filled with unprecedented times, the SWTN Chapter of the Fellowship

of Christian Athletes is excited to reconnect for its annual Golf Classic on June 6 th , at the Jackson Country Club.

Kody Alexander, Committee Golf Chair says, “The people of Southwest Tennessee have been instrumental in

helping to further the mission of FCA for over 30 years.” Through the faithful support of our sponsors, this

year, we are excited to welcome our special guest speaker, Coach Keith Butler, recently retired Defensive

Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers, after devoting most of his life to the game of football. Butler played 10

years for the Seattle Seahawks and then coached in the NFL for 23 years. A two-time Super Bowl champion,

Butler was very successful and highly respected in the NFL for making huge contributions to its growth and

development. He was recently nominated for a lifetime achievement award by the Professional Football Writers

of America. Butler is widely known for his Christian faith and devotion to his family. His son, Blake, is the

head football coach at Trinity Christian Academy where his three grandson's play football. Coach Butler truly

understands FCA's Mission "to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and

His church" so in turn, they can use their influence for good.

According to the SWTN director, Barry Cox “We are excited to have Coach Keith Butler as our guest

speaker. We are also blessed to take athletes to camp to Equip, Impower and Encourage them to use their

platform to glorify God. This ministry is about helping them realize that who they are is not the sport they play,

that’s just what they do, their true identity is in Christ!
