“FINANCIAL CRIMES AGAINST SENIORS SEMINAR for Law Enforcement Personnel

Madison County Sheriff John Mehr is concerned about the safety of our Senior Citizens and has scheduled a “FINANCIAL CRIMES AGAINST SENIORS SEMINAR for Law Enforcement Personnel.

This FREE TRAINING event is scheduled for Wednesday January 31st from 8am-5pm at the Jackson State Community College , Ayers Auditorium, 2046 North Parkway, Jackson, TN. 38301

 

The Department of Justice Funds Law Enforcement Training to Combat Elder Financial Exploitation and is sponsored locally by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

FCAS Training adds to participants investigative skills and interviewing techniques to prepare them to more successfully pursue cases of financial exploitation of seniors.

 

Topics include:

*What is elder abuse and financial exploitation?

*Who are the victims and why are they targeted?

*Working with victims with special needs such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

*Dealing with family and trusted persons as perpetrators.

*What are the crimes and who commits them?

*Resources and community awareness.

*Hypothetical case study.
