RIPLEY MAN INDICTED IN LAKE COUNTY CHILD RAPE CASE
LAKE COUNTY – An investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the indictment of a Lauderdale County man on multiple counts in connection with a child rape investigation in Lake County.
At the request of 29th District Attorney General Danny Goodman, on September 28, 2018, TBI Special Agents joined the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in investigating allegations of a sexual assault against a child. During the investigation, Agents discovered that between the months of July and September of 2017, Austin Brewer sexually assaulted a young female family member at a home in Lake County.
On July 8th, the Lake County Grand Jury indicted Brewer (DOB: 6/3/99) on two counts of Rape of a Child, a count of Aggravated Sexual Battery – Under 13, and two counts of Incest. On Tuesday, Brewer was arrested and booked into the Lake County Jail on $75,000 bond.
