Where:  Georgia Freight Depot, 65 MLK Drive, Atlanta, GA 30303.

 

About the Event: This year’s entertainment features music by Howard Hewitt, the legendary R&B singer and former member of the hit band, Shalamar. Best known for his silky-smooth, soulful voice and countless chart topping favorites such as “I’m for Real,” “Show Me,” and “Say Amen,” Hewitt’s performance is sure to give attendees an unforgettable night for a worthy cause.

 

A “balloon-pop” for prizes and a photo bar will keep the fun flowing while former scholarship recipient, Atlanta entertainer, Chandri Morton, along withThe 911 Band, keep donors dancing well into the night.

 

Tickets: $60 per person for the first 200 people on a first-come, first-serve basis. $75 thereafter. All tickets include food and entertainment. A cash bar will be available.

Proceeds will be used to reward up to 20 extraordinary high school students with a Barbara Lewis King Scholarship that can be applied towards their college tuition and or expenses.

 

About the Barbara Lewis King Scholarship Foundation

Since its inception in 1997, The Barbara Lewis King Scholarship Foundationhas provided nearly 300scholarships to students in the Atlanta area. [297 to be exact]. The BLKSF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whosemission is to raise funds for deserving and qualifying college bound high school students. The Foundation also reserves two scholarships annually for residents of Covenant House Georgia, which provides shelter and free services to homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth.
