The Marine Corps League presented Toys For Tots Mid-South Assistant Coordinator Nikki Williams with a $5,500 check

The Marine Corps League presented Toys For Tots Mid-South Assistant Coordinator Nikki Williams with a $5,500 check at their meeting last Thursday night. The Detachment was pleased to announce that 1,138 toys were collected as well this year. Commandant Bryce West said, "the donation represents monies raised during our first annual Toys For Tots Trot 5k race held back in October as well as at our collection booth at Toys R Us in December."

Ms. Williams whose Toys For Tots territory includes Chester, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Hardeman, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and McNairy Counties shared that 429 families as well as some shelters, daycares, and Head Start programs received packages of toys reaching an estimated 3,200 children this year.
