West Tennessee Leaders Join Diane Black’s Law and Order Coalition
Law Enforcement Officials Support Diane Black’s Strong Law and Order Record
Gallatin, TN – Today, Diane Black for Governor announced its statewide Law and Order Coalition. 23 Sheriffs and 11 District Attorneys have endorsed Diane’s campaign for governor and signed on to provide guidance on law enforcement issues.
Members of the Diane Black for Governor Law and Order Coalition from West Tennessee are:
- DA Gary Brown - Crockett, Gibson and Haywood Counties
- Co-Chairman DA Amy Weirich - Shelby County
- Carroll County Sheriff Andy Dickson
- Obion County Sheriff Jerry Vastbinder
West Tennessee Co-Chair Amy Weirich said, "There may be a field of Republicans in the governor's race, but I believe there is only one true law and order candidate. Violence is sucking the life out of parts of our community. We need leadership in Nashville that will make public safety the priority it should be. As our next Governor, I know that Diane Black will fight for the victims of crime, not the criminals who commit them and I know she will fight for our community. I am proud to support her as she brings her strong law and order record to the governor's office."
Diane Black has been a strong supporter of President Trump’s common sense policies to protect our country and stop illegal immigration. She will bring these same principles and policies to the governor’s office.
“I’m proud to have such a strong group of law enforcement officials from across Tennessee on my team,” said Diane Black. “These men and women are on the front lines fighting to keep us safe, particularly on the issue of opioids. Their ideas and their experience will be invaluable to me as I travel this state talking to Tennesseans about how to make sure Tennessee is a safe place to live, work and raise a family.”
