Bemis Heritage Days

The Bemis Historical Society will host its annual Bemis Heritage Days event on Friday and
Saturday, May 19-20. The event will be held in the Bemis Mill Village Museum building at 2
North Missouri Street in Jackson.
The Friday night event will be from 4-9PM and will feature music and a bar-b-que dinner.
Festivities will kick off with an $8 a plate bar-b-que dinner at 5PM. Visitors can enter the historic
museum building to view displays and enjoy a night of music. The musical part of the evening
will feature the W.S. Holland ‘s Rock n’ Roll Band playing from 7- 9PM.
Saturday events run from 9AM-3:30PM. A self-guided CD tour of Bemis, narrated by historical
society member June Holloway, will be available from 9-11AM. At 10AM enjoy the “Bemis Cat
Look-Alike Contest.” If you have a cat that looks like “Biddie” in the Bemis logo, bring them! Bar-
b-que plates will be sold starting at 11AM.
A host of storytellers will “spin Bemis yarns” starting at 1PM. There will be an informational
meeting from 3-3:30PM for people who are interested in the work of the Bemis Historical Society
and Historic Bemis itself.
There is no admission charge for this two day event, but donations are accepted. Bring your
