Jonathan M. Stubbs has been promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army National Guard. Stubbs is currently serving as the director of human resources with Joint Forces Headquarters, Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Ark. He has served in the military for 23 years.
Stubbs is the husband of Beverly J. Stubbs of Searcy, Ark., and son-in-law of Carole and Lloyd Berry of Dewitt, Ark.
He is a 1990 graduate of St. Benedict at Auburndale High School, Memphis, Tenn. He earned a bachelor's degree in 1995 from Lambuth University, Jackson, Tenn.
U.S. Army Pvt. Colby D. Loveday has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Jackson, Tenn.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values. The soldier also received instruction and practice in physical fitness, rifle marksmanship and bayonet use, chemical warfare, unarmed combat, drill and ceremony, marching, map reading, military courtesy, basic first aid, field tactics and the military justice system.
Loveday is the son of Amanda K. Tankersley of Powell, Tenn., and David C. Loveday of Maryville, Tenn., and step-son of Tamyra Loveday of Maryville, Tenn., and Wesley L. Tankersley of Powell, Tenn.
He is a 2015 graduate of Gibbs High School, Knoxville, Tenn.
